Step 1
Click the [Add >] button in the face image registration win-
dow. If the face image automatically searched or changed
name has not already been updated, click the [Update] but-
ton before adding it.
→ The "Face registration" window will be displayed.
Step 2
On the playback operation panel, play back the recorded
data containing the face image to register for face matching.
Refer to the Operating Instructions (PDF) for further informa-
tion about the playback operation.
→ The image is played back in the image display area.
Register face images [Add]
A maximum of 16 face images can be registered. If 16 face images have already been registered, add new images after having
deleted some of the registered images.
Step 3
As soon as the face image to register is displayed, pause
playback.
→ The facial features detected in the image are displayed
inside a frame with the frame size (horizontal x vertical).
Note:
• Register the face image so that the face width (frame
width) is 125 pixels or more.
Step 4
If the displayed face image is acceptable for registration,
double-click the face frame.
→ The screen returns to the face image registration win-
dow, and the selected face image will be displayed in
the face image display area.
Note:
• When returning to the face image registration window
without applying the face image, click the [Back] button.
Step 5
If necessary, configure the setting for face matching actions,
open the on-screen keyboard (☞ page 36) to assign a name,
and click the [Update] button.

Automatically search for face images [Auto image scan]
The image suited for face matching for approximately 3 seconds before and after starting playback of registered face images is
automatically searched.
Step 1
Click the [Auto image scan] button (☞ page 56) in the face
image registration window.
→ "Auto image scan is in progress. Please wait." will be
displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen. When
the search is completed, the search completion window
will open. The images produced by the search will be
displayed in the face image display area.
Note:
• Depending on the status of images, it may take around 2
minutes for the search.
Step 2
If acceptable, click the [Update] button to register.
Note:
• Images found by auto image scan will not be displayed
in the image display area.
