Installation
Unpacking
After unpacking the T1 ESF CSU RM, carefully inspect it for shipping
damage. If damage is suspected, immediately file a claim with the carrier
and contact ADTRAN Customer Service (see Customer Service, Product
Support Information, and Training on page 10). If possible, keep the
original shipping container for use in returning the unit to ADTRAN for
repair or verification of shipping damage.
Powering
The T1 ESF CSU RM receives all the power necessary for operation from
the ADTRAN SMART 16 shelf. The shelf supplies +5 VDC to the T1
ESF CSU RM after the unit is installed in one of the 16 slots of the shelf.
