Synchronization and transfer

Problem

Cause and/or solution

Synchronization/
transfer stops or does
not start

The computer has entered standby or hibernation.

The camera is disconnected (during authentication and setup),
possibly due to:

– Camera turning off
– Distance (weak signal)
– Interference (such as a microwave oven or a cordless

telephone)

– The wireless router shutting down
– Wi-Fi card not properly inserted

Synchronization/transfer is not set in EasyShare software (see
EasyShare software Help for details).

Set up and authenticate the camera on EasyShare software (see
EasyShare software Help for details).

Synchronization/
transfer is slow

The network is slow possibly due to:

– Distance (weak signal)
– Interference (such as a microwave oven or a cordless

telephone)

The computer is slow, possibly due to:

– Processing other tasks
– Disk space is full
– Low processor speed

The wireless router is set to slow transfer rate.

Incomplete transfer or
missing images

There is not enough disk space left on the computer.

The transfer was interrupted (see above).
