Transactional

Rescue

and

Recovery

Transactional

Rescue

and

Recovery

provides

a

transactional

GUI

with

a

few

basic

operations.

Rescue

and

Recovery

can

be

configured

to

lock

out

either

the

transactional

GUI

or

the

advanced

GUI,

but

not

both.

When

Rescue

and

Recovery

is

first

started,

the

user

will

see

the

transactional

GUI

unless

the

Simple

User

Interface

setting

is

disabled.

Thereafter,

if

the

user

will

see

the

interface

they

were

using

when

they

last

closed

the

application.

If

the

Simple

User

Interface

setting

is

disabled,

the

advanced

GUI

will

be

displayed

each

time

Rescue

and

Recovery

starts.

If

the

Interface

Switching

setting

is

disabled,

the

user

will

not

be

able

to

switch

between

the

two

interfaces.

Note:

These

settings

are

not

available

as

command

line

settings.

They

can

only

be

set

in

Active

Directory.

Area

To

customize

parts

of

the

Rescue

and

Recovery

Predesktop

Area,

use

the

rrutil.exe

utility

program

to

GET

and

PUT

files

from

the

Predesktop

Area

or

the

protected

backups

folder.

Note:

The

Predesktop

Area

can

be

manually

started

if

the

operating

system

does

not

start.
