2. Rotate the adapter card retainer 1 to the open position to remove a failing
adapter card or to add an adapter card. See Figure 32.
3. Remove the adapter card 2 .
4. Remove the new adapter from its static-protective package.
5. Install the new adapter card 2 in the adapter card connector.
6. Ensure the adapter is fully seated into the adapter connector.
7. Close the adapter card retainer.
8. Go to Chapter 4, “Completing the parts replacement,” on page 41.
Replacing the fan assembly
