Basic - Density
Adjust the density for the scanned document.

Basic - Color
Specify whether to scan original in color or black-and-white.
Some color settings may not be available, depending on the selected File Type settings. The following shows
the combinations of the File Type and Color settings.

Description
[Auto Color]
Automatically detects the color of the original and scans it to fit the original setting.
[Full Color]
Scans the original in full color.
[Gray Scale]
Select this setting for originals with high-level halftone such as black-and-white pho-
tos.
[Black]
Select this setting for originals with distinct black and white areas, such as line draw-
ings.
