Radio mode

1. Fully uncoil the wire antenna.

Manual scan for radio stations:

Briefly press the / (4), until you have found the radio

station which you are looking for. If you keep one of the
buttons pressed down, the device will search to the previ-
ous, respectively next radio station.

Preset station:
1. Search for the desired radio station with the /

buttons (4).

2. To store the radio stations, press the MEM/PROG

button (1). The notification “P 01” will blink in the
display.

3. Select the desired preset location with the M+/M-

buttons (11).

4. Press the MEM/PROG button to store the station.

3. If the reception is too weak and there is interference on

the received station, try to improve the reception by alter-
ing the position and uncoiling or coiling the antenna. The
message “ST” is shown on the display for stereo recep-
tion.

Select the preset radio station
The preset radio stations can be selected by repeatedly
pressing the M+/M- button (11).

Playing CDs/MP3

1. Select the CD mode with the FUNCTION button (7). The

following will appear in the display “- -”.

2. Open the CD tray (19) by pressing the OPEN/CLOSE

button (6). The CD tray will move upward.

3. Place a CD with the label on top onto the spindle so that

the CD clicks in mechanically.

4. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the CD

tray.

5. After a few seconds the total number of songs/tracks is

shown in the display.

6. The CD will play from the first title.
7. In order to remove a CD, please press the button (13),

open the CD compartment and lift the CD out carefully.

Always keep the CD deck closed.

NOTE:

• If a disc is inserted the wrong way around, respectively if

no disc is inserted, then the message “- -” will blink and
“NO” appears on the display.

• Playback of CDs produced by the user cannot be

guaranteed due to the large variety of software and CD
media available.

Playing music via USB (17)

This device has been developed in line with the latest techni-
cal advances in the USB field. The wide range of different
USB storage devices of all types which are currently on the
market, unfortunately do not allow us to guarantee full com-
patibility with all USB storage devices. For this reason, in rare
cases there may be problems in playing back files from USB
storage devices. This is

not a malfunction of the device.

1. Press the FUNCTION button (7) repeatedly until “USB” is

shown on the display.

2. Connect a USB storage device directly into the port.

Playback will automatically start after a few seconds.

For operation, please refer to the section “Description of the
control buttons”.

NOTE:

• Always

directly connect a USB storage medium to the

USB port to prevent any malfunctions.

• The USB port is

not designed for charging external

devices.

CAUTION:

Switch the device to a different operating mode before you
remove the USB storage device.

To play music via a memory card (14)

1. Press the FUNCTION button (7) repeatedly until “CARD”

is shown on the display.

2. Insert the memory card into the opening provided. The

contacts must thereby point upwards. Playback will start
automatically after a few seconds.

For the operation, please refer to the section “Description of
the control buttons”.

CAUTION:

Switch the device to a different operating mode before
removing the memory card.

Description of the control buttons

You can briefly interrupt and resume playback using this
button. The fade-in in the display will blink. Pressing again
continues playback.

With  you can jump to the next or previous track etc.
• If the button is kept pressed down, the machine starts to

search through the tracks.
