Selecting the aperture value

for shooting pictures (A mode)

In this mode, the shutter speed is automatically

set by the camera. This is useful for shooting

while controlling the range in which subjects

appears sharp.

Set the mode dial to A.

After pressing 7, select the

aperture value using 78, and

press the

o button.

7 :

Aperture value becomes larger

(the range where the subjects appear

sharp becomes wider).

8 :

Aperture value becomes smaller

(the range where the subjects appear

sharp becomes narrower).

When the aperture value appears red, the

correct exposure cannot be obtained.

Selecting the shutter speed

for shooting pictures (S mode)

In this mode, the aperture value is automatically

set by the camera. This is useful for shooting a

moving subject, such as sports photos.

7 :

Shutter speed becomes faster

(fast moving objects will be shot as though it

was stationary).

8 :

Shutter speed becomes slower

(moving objects will become blurry when

shot).

When the shutter speed appears red, the

correct exposure cannot be obtained.
