Turning off the server
The procedure for switching off the server depends on the
operating system installed on the server. Therefore refer to the
user’s guide of the operating system to make sure of the shutdown
procedure.
Normal shutdown
To turn off the server, proceed as follows:
1 Shut down the operating system, as instructed by its user’s
guide.
See User’s guide of the operating system.
2 Press the power button of the server to switch it off.
If the operating system does not shut down normally
If a shutdown process fails, you can shut down the operating
system forcibly. In this case however, all unsaved data will be lost.
Press and hold down the power button until the power is switched
off.
