Chapter 2

The Grand Tour

This chapter identifies the various components of your computer. Become

familiar with each component before you operate the computer.

Front with the display closed

The following figure shows the computer’s front with its display panel in the

closed position.

Certain notebook chassis are designed to accommodate all possible

configurations for an entire product series. Your selected model may not

have all the features and specifications corresponding to all of the icons or

switches shown on the notebook chassis, unless you have selected a

model which supports all of those features.

DC-IN LED

Power LED

Battery LED

Display Latch

DC-in LED

The DC-IN LED indicates the computer is

connected to the AC adapter and it is plugged

into an AC power source.

Power LED

The Power LED flashes amber while the system

is in Standby Mode. The LED turns off when the

computer is turned off or is in Hibernation Mode.

In normal operating mode, the LED is green.
