• Make sure that the remote is linked to the plug (see section 3.1 of this manual).

• Check the batteries in the remote control. The batteries should be correctly loaded (+ and -). If all

buttons on the remote are blinking, this means the batteries need to be replaced.

• In rare cases, this could be caused by heavy traffic on the wireless network (e.g. a wireless router). Try

moving the luminaires away from the router. Or try the following procedure:

• make sure that all lights connected to this remote are on; otherwise they will not respond

after this action.

• press simultaneously on “I” and the scene button with three dots for at least 5 seconds to

switch to another wireless channel (the luminaires will flash to confirm).

• You can repeat this procedure up to 3 times, preferably from different positions.

• The blue LED on the plug is blinking. What should I do?

• Take the LivingWhites plug out of the socket and wait a couple of seconds until it stops blinking. Then

plug it back in again.

• If the blinking starts again, it means you have put in a luminaire that consumes more than 300 W. Such a

product can’t work with the LivingWhites luminaire control plug.

• Buttons are flashing after I have used the remote control. What does it mean?

• This means that the batteries in the remote control are almost empty and need to be replaced.

• Does the LivingWhites plug work with luminaires that have a dimmer built in (e.g. a touch dimmer or a

dimmer in the cable)?

• Philips cannot guarantee that the plug will work with another dimmer.

• Can I connect the LivingWhites plug to a mains socket that is connected to a wall dimmer?

• No, the plug will not work with a wall dimmer.

• Do I need to put a special bulb in my luminaire so that it works with the LivingWhites plug?

• No, the LivingWhites luminaire control plug works with most bulbs (for exceptions, see the next point).

• Please do not connect a Philips LivingWhites energy saver to the LivingWhites plug, as this might affect

your energy saver. Connecting the energy saver to the plug is not necessary, as one of these products is
enough to let your luminaire work with a LivingAmbiance/LivingWhites remote control.
