8.

If zippers stick, lubricate with silicon. Never force a zipper that has material caught in it,
as this will bend the slider and prevent the zipper from closing. Continual use in a sandy
environment can cause a slider to erode and fail to close the zipper.

9.

To repair torn tent fabric: Before or after each trip, carefully inspect the tent body and fly
for holes or tears in the fabric. If a hole is found, cover the hole on the underside of the
fabric with repair tape found in most outdoor stores. Apply seam sealer around the
perimeter of the patch to ensure a leak-proof seal. For small, pin-sized holes use a small
dab of Seam Grip

TM

Seam Sealer. Make sure the tent is completely dry before storing.

10.

Pole Care: Wipe the poles clean after each use. Bend the poles only when all joints are
fitted together completely. Occasional lubrication with silicone or Teflon sprays at the
joints will aid in pole assembly and help prevent icing problems in snow.

In extreme cold (20

o

F), the shock cords within the poles lose much of their elasticity and

can break if improperly handled. In such extreme conditions, rub rapidly back and forth
along the pole surface. This should generate enough heat to return some elasticity to the
cord.

WARNING: KEEP ALL FLAME AND HEAT SOURCES AWAY FROM THIS TENT FABRIC. THIS
TENT IS MADE WITH FLAME RESISTANT FABRIC. IT IS NOT FIREPROOF. THE FABRIC
WILL BURN IF LEFT IN CONTINUOUS CONTACT WITH ANY FLAME SOURCE
