Choose JPEG from the TIFF Compression pop-up menu.

5

Make sure the slider is set to 67, for high-quality compression.

The default setting is 67, so you shouldn’t have to adjust it.

6

Click Save.

The Save directory dialog box appears.

7

Use the directory box to name the image file and specify its location.

The new file is just a sample for recording purposes, so you can save
it anywhere.

8

Click Save.

9

Click the Stop button in the Script palette.

PhotoFlash displays the directory dialog box for saving a script.

10

Use the directory dialog box to name the script and specify its location.

Don’t save it in the Scripts folder. Save it somewhere else where you can find
it easily, such as the desktop. You won’t need the script for long.

Now you’ll use the Script Editor to open the script you just recorded so
you can compare it to the original Rotate and Save As TIFF script. Follow
these steps:

1

Activate the Finder and locate and double-click the script you just recorded.

The script opens in the Script Editor program.

To compare this script with the original script, open the original and arrange
the script windows on the screen so you can see them both. (The original
script is also reproduced earlier in this section.) Look for the part of each
script that comes after the words

|Use JPEG|

. You may have to use the

scroll bar at the bottom of each window to scroll until you can see this part of
the script.
