The Background Color dialog box appears.

Use the dialog box to select a background color.

The dialog box is the same as the one used to set the desktop color for the
Macintosh screen. It is explained in the

Macintosh User’s Guide.

Note: The background color is behind your image. If you move or delete a
selected area of your image, the background shows through. The background
is different from the gray area that surrounds the image if an image’s window
is larger than the image’s work area. The gray area that surrounds the image is
always gray and can’t be changed.

When you’ve selected the color you want, click OK to close the dialog box and save
your selection.

Processing/Filing preferences

The processing/filing preferences appear on the right side of the Preferences
dialog box. These settings allow you to control the way PhotoFlash works
with image files.

When you open an image file that’s larger than the amount of RAM
PhotoFlash has available, PhotoFlash stores part of that file on the hard disk
drive it’s currently using for virtual memory. When you make changes to that
part of the image, those changes are made on the hard disk.
