2.5.1 Light source system
Flash light enters the optical system focused by the aperture with the excitation filter. The opening
functions as a color-specific light source.
The light source system consists of the following components:
• Flash lamp
• Condenser optics
• Excitation filter
• Flash lamp monitor (= reference diode)
