12 Transport, storage and disposal
12.1 Packing
Use the supplied packing material when packing the device for transport or storage. If you do not have this
anymore or if it is damaged, contact your Eppendorf office.
The packaging of the device consists of:
• 1 plastic bag for wrapping the device
• 1 foam bottom part
• 1 foam lid part
• 1 carton consisting of bottom, lid and insert for small parts
• 4 plastic locking clips
• 1 empty PCR plate
WARNING! Risk of injury when lifting and transporting the device.
Lifting the device with the wrong posture may cause serious damage to your health. If the
device falls to the ground it can cause injuries.
 Do not lift the device by the handle or the housing of the heated lid.
 Carry the device securely with both hands to prevent it from slipping.
 Always keep a straight back when lifting and carrying the device.
CAUTION! Injury caused by breakage or slipping of packing materials.
If the device falls to the ground it can cause injuries.
 Always hold the device at the base of the housing when lifting it.
 Do not lift the device by the packing materials.
CAUTION! Damage as a result of incorrect packing.
Eppendorf accepts no warranty or liability for damage caused by incorrect packing.
 Only dispatch the device in the original packaging provided for transport.
