STOW CS4030 SAW — BATTERY

To install the battery on the saw, make sure that the battery is
properly clamped into the battery box. Connect the positive cable
to the positive terminal on the battery first, then connect the
negative cable to the negative terminal.

Use all safety precautions specified by the battery
manufacturer when working with the battery. See further
specific safety information on page 18 of this manual.

Battery Setup

This saw was shipped with a wet charged battery, (Figure 21).
This battery may need to be charged for a brief period of time as
per the manufacturer instructions.

NOTE

The STOW CS4030 Saw uses 2
positive battery cables and 2
negative battery cables. One set is
for the starter on the engine and the
other set is for the raise/lower pump
assembly. Make sure that both sets
of cables are connected to the battery.

Battery electrolyte contains corrosive,
toxic chemical. (dilute sulfuric acid).
Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

Flammable, explosive gas. (produces
hydrogen gas while charging or during
operation). Keep area around battery
well ventilated and keep from any fire
source.

Shock or Fire due to electric short-
circuit. Disconnect battery cables
before inspecting electrical
system and never "spark" battery
terminals to test for charge.
