2.

Be sure to coat the

seal

of the new oil filter with clean

engine oil.

3.

Spin on new filter until seal make contact with surface, then
tighten additional 2/3 to 3/4 turn.

Oil Filter (125 Hours)

1.

Replace the engine oil filter (Figure 40) every oil change
or 125 hours. Refer to your engine manual for specific
details to perform this operation.

2.

Remove the oil filler cap (Figure 39, Item 13), and fill engine
crankcase with recommended type oil as listed in Table 9.
Fill to the upper limit of dipstick.

3.

Crankcase capacity with filter replacement is 8 quarts, (7.57
liters). Refer to Table 9 for recommended viscosity grade
for temperature range.

Checking Engine Oil

1. Check engine oil level daily before starting the engine.

2.

When checking or adding oil, place the machine so the
engine is level.

3.

Pull the engine oil dipstick from its holder, (Item 10, Figure
39).

4.

Determine if engine oil is low. Oil should be between the
upper and lower limit (add oil) lines.

5.

If oil is below the "Add Engine Oil" line, add oil up to the
upper limit on the dipstick. Allow enough time for any oil to
make its way to the oil pan before rechecking.

DO NOT overfill the oil pan with engine oil. Always keep the
engine oil level at the upper limit lines on the dipstick due to
the tilting of the engine during operation.
