It is important to check the fi t of the
Restraint Harness periodically and as your
child grows. The straps must be properly
positioned on your child’s shoulders and
thighs (Photo B).

Death or Serious Injury Can Occur

Failure to properly fi t the Restraint
Harness for your child’s size
increases the risk of serious injury
or death in the event of a sharp turn,
sudden stop or crash.

The Restraint Harness must be
properly adjusted to fi t your child
according to the instructions in this
section.

Adjusting the Restraint
Harness to Fit Your Child

1. Adjusting the Shoulder Strap Height:

For Rear-Facing Installations:

Only use the two lowest sets of harness
slots. Harness slots must be at or below
the child’s’ shoulders (see Photo C and
illustration below).

For Forward-Facing Installations:

Only use the three higher sets of
harness slots. Harness slots must be
at or above the child’s shoulders (see
Photo D and illustration below).
