4. Click Create this target from an existing image file to create a target from an

existing image file.

Note:

Use this step only if you have an existing iSCSI target image file.

a. Select the button.

b. On the “Image file to use:” window, navigate to the location of your target image file,

then click Open.

5. Select the security type for your target.

None: Does not assign security for your target.

CHAP: Assigns Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP) security to
your target.

If you’d like to change your User Name, click Edit. Note that the name must match

your initiator CHAP name.

Enter your Target Secret. The Target Secret is a security key that must be between

12 to 16 alphanumeric characters.

6. Click Create Target.

Edit an iSCSI Target

1. On the iSCSI Tasks pane, click Edit Target Settings.

2. Modify the required and optional settings as desired.

3. Click Modify Target.
