Connecting the Coolant

Drive Coolant Connections
For locations of the coolant inlet and outlet connections, see
Coolant connections for PowerFlex 755 with OEM Liquid Cooling Frame 6 and
7 AC drives are made using o-ring face seal connections which have a:
• 3/4-inch nominal size
• “-12” SAE dash size
• 1-1/16-12 UN/UNF-2B external thread size
The drive coolant connection is shown in
. Perform the following steps
to complete the connection.
1. Verify that the o-ring is properly seated on the male fitting.
2. Using a backup wrench on the drive fitting, tighten the swivel nut fitting to
a torque of 81 N•m (60 lb•ft).
