Chapter Objectives The purpose of this chapter is to provide you with information on how the
Communications Module communicates with a serial device. The
following topics will be explained:
S Communications Module data table structure
S Data transfer through the Communications Module
S Block transfer emulation
ATTENTION: It is recommended that when a system is
configured for the first time, that the motor be disconnected from
the machine or process during initial testing.

Communications Module Data Table Structure and Supported
PCCC Command List
The Communications Module maintains a data table that allows the module
to communicate with serial devices using standard PCCC commands. The
PCCC commands supported by the Communications Module are listed in
Table 5.A and the structure of the data table is documented in Table 5.B.
