Installing the Capacitor Follow this procedure to install the DC suppressor capacitor:
1. Verify that the capacitor is rated at 3 MFD, 2000V.
2. Put the capacitor in place.
3. Fasten the capacitor to the subpanel with 2 screws and the flat wash-
ers.
4. Connect the wires on each end of the capacitor.
5. Install all Lexan shields that you removed.
6. Dispose of the removed part according to your company’s procedures
and local ordinances.
Removing the Diode Use the following procedure to remove the DC suppressor diode:
1. Remove all Lexan guards that shield the diode.
2. Disconnect the wires at the top of the diode (anode).
3. Disconnect the wires connected to the busbar.
4. Remove 2 screws to unfasten the busbar from its standoffs.
5. Remove the nut from the diode stud.
6. Remove the diode.
