Installing the Diode Use the following procedure to install the DC suppressor diode:
1. Verify that the diode is rated at 60A, 1700V.
2. Position the diode on the busbar.
3. Verify that the stud is parallel to the busbar lengthwise.
4. Secure the diode at its bottom side with a flat washer, lockwasher, and
nut at the diode stud; torque to 75 lb-in. (Refer to Figure 3.)
5. Secure the busbar to the nylon standoffs.
6. Connect the wire to the top of the diode just as the previous diode had
been connected. (Refer to Figure 3.)
7. Connect wires to the busbars.
8. Install all Lexan shields that you removed.
9. Dispose of the removed part according to your company’s procedures
and local ordinances.
