Installing the AutoMax PC3000 Packaged Version
The AutoMax PC3000 Packaged Version requires an input voltage source. It is recommended that you
provide an EMI/RFI line filter and surge suppression. The use of a UPS 120VAC supply may also be used
to prevent OS shutdown when there is line notching greater than 150 msec. on the input voltage source.

CAUTION: The user is responsible for conforming with all applicable local, national, and international
codes. Failure to observe this precaution could result in damage to or destruction of the equipment.
To install the AutoMax PC3000 Packaged Version, follow these steps:
Step 1. Open the chassis door, and remove the paper tape covering one end of the battery
installed on the AutoMax PC3000 Processor card.
Step 2. Connect incoming power to the terminal strip on the AutoMax PC3000 Packaged
Version’s chassis. Refer to figure 3.

Step 3. Turn on the AutoMax PC3000 Packaged Version by using the power switch on the
chassis.
WARNING
USERS MUST PROVIDE AN EXTERNAL, HARDWIRED EMERGENCY STOP CIRCUIT OUTSIDE OF
THE CONTROLLER CIRCUITRY. THIS CIRCUIT MUST DISABLE THE SYSTEM IN CASE OF
IMPROPER OPERATION. UNCONTROLLED MACHINE OPERATION MAY RESULT IF THIS PROCE-
DURE IS NOT FOLLOWED. FAILURE TO OBSERVE THIS PRECAUTION COULD RESULT IN
BODILY INJURY.
