c. If the motor is a brake motor (catalog numbers MP-B980E-MJ

x4AA), reposition the

mounting strap to the forward position.

1.) Remove the two lock screws for the mounting strap.

2.) Reposition the mounting strap in the forward position.

3.) Insert and torque the lock screws to the value listed in the

Specifications

table.

d. Secure the motor shroud to the motor with the supplied hex-head cap screw.

e. Torque the cap screw to the value listed in the

Specifications

table.

f. Reattach the cross brace panel, if it was removed, and adjust the shroud on the motor.

Slots are provided that allow adjustment of the shroud on the motor. A tight fit with
the motor minimizes vibration and noise.

4. Reinstall the fan assembly in the shroud.

a. Carefully slide the fan assembly into the sheet metal shroud.

b. Fasten the fan assembly to the shroud with the six screws removed in

step 1

.

c. Torque all sheet metal screws to the value listed in the

Specifications

table.

ATTENTION: To avoid personal injury, carefully install the fan assembly inside
the metal shroud. Pay particular attention for sharp edges on the sheet metal.
