Step 73. Route Mirror Harness down the A-pillar.
Step 74. Route Mirror Harness through the dash panel
removed in Step 38. IMPORTANT: If the Mirror does not
have power or reverse signal, the Red and Green Mirror
Harness wires must be spliced into the dash wiring (see
Steps 43 & 44) and the Black ground wire connected to
a chassis bolt (see Steps 41 & 42).
Step 75. Plug the male RCA connector of the Chassis
Harness into the female RCA connector on the Mirror
Harness. Cover the Red, Green, and Black wires of the
Mirror Harness with Electrical Tape if they were not
used. Coil excess harness with supplied Wire Ties.
Step 76. Plug the 16-pin connector into the supplied
Mirror.
Step 77. Install supplied Mirror to the windshield mount
using existing screw and a T20 Torx driver. Torque the
mirror screw to 1.8 Nm (16 lb-in) and do not exceed 2.2
Nm (19.5 lb-in).
Step 78. Test the system. Inspect that all connections
are proper and secure. Clear all loose items removed
from the area around the vehicle and turn ignition key
ON to test system. Once Reverse gear is engaged the
camera image should appear on the mirror.
Step 79. Secure Chassis Harness with supplied Wire
Ties. If necessary, coil excess harness wire and secure
with Wire Ties. Attach to existing vehicle wiring where
possible.
Step 80. Reassemble vehicle. Follow your disassembly
steps in reverse order, taking care not to bind the
harness wiring when reinstalling.
CAUTION: Any bolts removed for safety
devices must be retightened to manufacturer’s
specified torque specifications.

NOTE: Follow these steps ONLY if installing to a
factory NAV radio:
Step 81. Use Side Cutters to cut off the RCA connector
on the supplied Chassis Harness to reveal the White and
Brown video wires.
Step 82. Splice the supplied 3” Brown wire to the
Chassis Harness Brown wire and splice the supplied 3”
White wire to the Chassis Harness White wire. Solder the
connections and cover with heat shrink tubing or
electrical tape.
Step 83. Insert the Brown wire into cavity 6 the Brown
X4 factory NAV radio connector and the White wire into
cavity 7. Cover the ends of Chassis Harness Green,
Black, and Red wires with Electrical Tape as they will not
be used. IMPORTANT: For the rear video image to be
displayed, a GM dealer or authorized installer must
reprogram the NAV radio using a Tech 2.
Step 84. Test the system. Inspect that all connections
are proper and secure. Clear all loose items removed
from the area around the vehicle and turn ignition key
ON to test system. Once Reverse gear is engaged the
camera image should appear on the NAV display.
Step 85. Secure Chassis Harness with supplied Wire
Ties. If necessary, coil excess harness wire and secure
with Wire Ties. Attach to existing vehicle wiring where
possible.
Step 86. Reassemble vehicle. Follow your disassembly
steps in reverse order, taking care not to bind the
harness wiring when reinstalling.
