Capillary connections

All connections between injection valve, separation column and detector
must be as short as possible, have a low dead volume and be completely
leak-tight.

The PEEK capillary downstream of the detector must be free of blockages.

Only use PEEK capillaries with an inner diameter of 0.25 mm in the high-
pressure section between the high-pressure pump and the detector.

5.3

Servicing the door

CAUTION

The door is made of PMMA (poly(methyl methacrylate)). It must never
be cleaned with abrasive media or solvents.

CAUTION

Never hold the instrument by the door when lifting it. Only hold the
instrument by the housing.

5.4

Column thermostat – Replacing the capillaries

There are two preheating grooves on each of the column thermostat's
two side walls where the column input capillary has already been inserted
and fastened in place with a holder plate.
