Failure to install surge suppression hardware on the UTP cable
inside the radio and a second surge suppressor at the building’s
point­of­entry can expose the radio and network equipment to
electrical surges due to lightning strike or other phenomena. Such
electrical surges could cause irreparable damage to the radio
and/or network equipment not covered by the manufacturer’s
warranty.
