3.09 HF TIG/Lift TIG (GTAW) Setup

HF TIG/Lift TIG Sequence of Operation
1. Switch the ON/OFF Switch (located on the rear
panel) to OFF.
2. Connect the earth clamp to the Positive Output
Terminal, torch cable to the Negative Output
Terminal, 8 pin plug to the 8 pin socket and gas
hose to the output of an Argon regulator.
3. Plug the Power Source in and switch the power
switch ON.
4. Set the Process Selection Switch to HF TIG or LIFT
TIG.
5. Set the Weld Current control to the desired welding
current.
6. Switch the ON/OFF Switch to the ON position.
7. Depress the TIG torch trigger switch to commence
welding. If necessary, readjust the Weld Current
control to obtain the welding condition required.
8. After completion of welding the Power Source
should be left turned ON for 2 to 3 minutes.
This allows the fan to run and cool the internal
components.
9. Switch the ON/OFF Switch (located on the rear
panel) to the OFF position.
