Heat Tool

Thank you for purchasing the Weller Therma-Boost
heat tool. This is the latest in a line of both cordless
and corded soldering and hot air tools from Weller –
the world’s leading maker of soldering products.
With proper care, your new tool will give you years
of reliable service.

This unique tool combines the best features of a sol-
dering gun and soldering iron – fast heat-up, contin-
uous use, and light weight. The tool heats up to
working temperature quickly with the use of the sec-
ond stage Therma-Boost mode. Due to the unique
design, the tool can be used continuously. A tradi-
tional soldering gun can only be used intermittently.
And the tool is incredibly lightweight at just 3 oz., so
it is comfortable to use continuously. A wide variety
of tips allows use for repairs, hobbies, crafts, foam
cutting, model making, home electronics, and boating.

Safety Notes - Read Before Use

1. Tip and gun barrel are HOT! Do not touch the tip

or barrel or you will be severely burned.

2. The tip is hot as long as the tool is plugged into

an electrical outlet. You do not have to pull the
trigger for the tip to get hot.

3. Do not immerse in water due to the risk of electri-

cal shock, which could cause personal injury and
property damage

4. Wear safety goggles when using this tool to protect

eyes from potential injury

5. Always use the included safety stand when the

tool is laid down to avoid injury or damaging sur-
roundings.

6. Allow the tip to cool after use before storing away
7. Keep out of reach of children
8. Warning: This product contains, or when used for

soldering and similar applications produces
chemicals known to the State of California to
cause cancer and birth defects (or other repro-
ductive harm).

Operation

The Weller Therma-Boost heat tool utilizes a unique
heating system. It allows you to operate in Standard
Mode for normal soldering and Therma-Boost mode
for super-fast heat-up and thermal loads. The
Therma-Boost mode is designed to give you quick
bursts of added power when you need it. This mode
is designed to be used intermittently. There is a
control circuit that switches you back to Standard
mode after 45 seconds to prevent the gun from
overheating while in the Therma-Boost mode.

The green and red lights on the back of the gun indi-
cate various operational stages, as indicated in this
chart:

The Weller Therma-Boost heat tool comes with a
variety of tips for numerous uses – adding to the
versatility of this unique tool.

Consumer Soldering Iron Warranty

Cooper Hand Tools warrants this product will be free
from defects in material and workmanship for a period
of seven (7) years from the date of purchase. No
warranty is made with respect to products which
have been (a) altered, modified or repaired by any-
one other than Cooper Hand Tools; (b) subject to
abuse, improper use, negligence, accident or
improper storage; (c) installed, used or maintained
not in accordance with normal practices or the
instructions and specifications of Cooper Hand
Tools; or (d) used in conjunction with any product,
device, component or system, that is either defec-
tive, the source of a defect, or not reasonably intend-
ed to be used in conjunction with this product.

The foregoing limited warranty is exclusive and in
lieu of all other warranties, whether expressed,
implied or statutory, including, but not limited to,
any warranty of merchantability or fitness for any
particular purpose. The obligation of Cooper Hand
Tools under this limited warranty is expressly limited
to repairing the product, refunding the purchase
price or replacing the product, at the sole and
absolute discretion of Cooper Hand Tools, at no
charge to Buyer.

The remedies provided for herein shall constitute the
sole recourse of Buyer against Cooper Hand Tools,
whether the claim is made in tort or in contract,
including claims based on warranty, negligence,
strict liability, deceit, fraud, misrepresentation or
otherwise. In no event shall Cooper Hand Tools be
liable for special, indirect, incidental or consequen-
tial damages (regardless of the form of action), nor
for lost profits. Cooper Hand Tools liability for any
claims or damages arising out of or connected with
the manufacture, sale, delivery, use, maintenance,
repair or modification of this product shall not
exceed its purchase price.

Cooper Hand Tools will, during the warranty period,
repair, replace or refund the purchase price of any
product found to be defective in accordance with
this limited warranty. Return freight prepaid with
