Completing the Configuration

If you change any properties in the list below, run the Dell Storage
Initialization Wizard by clicking the Run Dell Storage Initialization
Wizard link from Dell Management Tools in the PowerVault NX1950
Management Console.

Computer name

The Dell Storage Initialization Wizard performs the following steps
to configure your storage solution:

1 Prompts you to change the array name.
2 Configures the PowerVault MD3000 storage array for a single-node

or a multiple-node cluster.

3 Configures the PowerVault NX1950 storage systems for a single-node

or a multiple-node cluster.

NOTE:

If you are running the Dell Storage Initialization Wizard for the first time,

you will be prompted to install EMC Navisphere

®

Agent.

Registering PowerPath

for the SAN Gateway Solution

NOTE:

A license key is required for a host connected to CX-series storage

arrays. You do not need a license key if the host is connected to AX-series
storage arrays.

If you have purchased EMC PowerPath

®

, the license registration key is

on the license key card. To add the license key:

1 Click Start→ Programs→ EMC, and then select PowerPath Licensing

Tool from the PowerPath Program group.

2 Enter the license registration key, select Add, and then click OK.

After initializing the storage array through the EMC Storage System
Initialization Wizard, the array will reboot.

NOTE:

Do not perform any operations using the Dell Storage Initialization

Wizard until the storage arrays have successfully rebooted.
