Removing the Fan

Prerequisites
Remove the computer cover .
Procedure
1 Disconnect the fan cable from the system-board connector (FANC1).
For more information on the location of the fan cable connector, see
“System-Board Components” .
2 Note the location of the fan on the heat sink assembly.
3 Disconnect the power and data cables from the connectors on the
optical drive.
