Replacing the Coin-Cell Battery

NOTICE:
To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically
touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the back panel) on the computer.
1 Follow the instructions in "Preparing to Work Inside the Computer" on page 7.
2 Follow the instructions in "Removing the Coin-Cell Battery" on page 47.
3 Insert the new battery into the circular socket with the positive side up, then push it into place.
4 Replace the keyboard (see "Replacing the Keyboard" on page 45).
5 Replace the hinge cover (see "Replacing the Hinge Cover" on page 42).
