8 Slide and hold the battery bay latch release on the bottom of the computer, then pull the battery out of
the battery bay.
Recommended Tools
The procedures in this document will require one or more of the following tools:
• Small flat-blade screwdriver
• Phillips screwdriver
• Small plastic scribe
• Flash BIOS update (see the Dell support website at
support.dell.com)
