Swapping Devices While the Computer Is On

NOTICE: If the computer is docked, undock it before installing or removing a drive. For instructions, see the docking device
documentation. 

In Microsoft

® Windows® Me

1. Right-click the

icon on the Microsoft Windows taskbar.

2. Click Remove/Swap.

3.

Close the display and turn the computer over. 

4. Remove the device.

5. Insert the new device and push it until you hear a click.

6. Click OK. Then click OK again to close the BayManager window.

7. Press the power button to resume normal operation.

1. Double-click the

icon in the Windows taskbar.

2. Click Help

In Microsoft Windows 2000

1. Double-click the

icon in the Windows taskbar.

2. Click the device you want to eject and then click Stop.

3. Click OK to prepare the device and activate standby mode.

4. Close the display and turn the computer over.

5. Remove the device.
