Removing the Hinge Cover
1.
Follow the instructions in
Before You Begin
.
2.
Remove the base cover (see
Removing the Base Cover
).
3.
Remove the battery pack (see
Removing the Battery Pack
).
4.
Turn the computer over and open the display as far as possible.
5.
Use a plastic scribe to gently pry the hinge cover up.
6.
Lift to disengage the hinge cover tabs from the computer base.
7.
Lift the hinge cover off the computer.
Replacing the Hinge Cover
1.
Follow the instructions in
Before You Begin
.
2.
Align the tabs on the hinge cover with the slots on the computer base and snap the cover in place.
3.
Turn the computer over and replace the battery pack (see
Replacing the Battery Pack
).
4.
Replace the base cover (see
Replacing the Base Cover
).
