Installing PowerVault MD Storage Software 35
2 Modify the custom_silent.properties file to reflect the features, models
and installation options to be used. Then, save the file.
3 Once the custom_silent.properties file is revised, run the following
command to begin the installation:
./mdss_install.bin –f
<host_server_path>/custom_silent.properties
Upgrading MD Storage Software
To upgrade from a previous version of the MD Storage Manager application,
uninstall the previous version (see "Uninstalling MD Storage Software" on
page 51), and then follow the instructions in this chapter to install the new
version.
