Connecting the SAS, Ethernet, and Power Cables

To connect the SAS, Ethernet, and power cables to the autoloader:

1.

Shut down and turn off the selected server. Turn off all attached accessory devices, such as printers and other devices.

2.

Attach one end of an Ethernet cable to the back panel of the autoloader.

3.

Attach the other end of the Ethernet cable to the host computer or network.

4.

Attach one end of the SAS cable (included in the accessory kit) to the SAS connector on the back panel of the autoloader.

5.

Attach the other end of the SAS cable to the connector on the SAS host adapter.

If the supplied SAS cable does not fit the connector on your SAS host adapter, you either have an incompatible SAS host adapter or you need to
purchase a cable adapter. Contact your Dell service representative or go to
