CHAPTER 8: KEYBOARD

Replacing the Keyboard

Follow the instructions in “Before You Begin” on page

Slide the keyboard cable and the keyboard backlight cable into the

respective system board connectors and push down the connector latches

to secure the cables to the connectors.

Align the tabs on the keyboard with the slots on the chassis.

Replace the three screws that secure the keyboard to the computer base.

CAUTION: Before turning on the computer, replace all screws and

ensure that no stray screws remain inside the computer. Failure to do

so may result in damage to the computer.

Turn the keyboard over.

Release the connector latches and disconnect the keyboard cable and

Lift the keyboard off the computer.
