You can protect important images so that they cannot be erased by the
camera
(pp. 29 , 112) .
Select

● Press the
m button to select :, then
press the m button.
Make the setting.
● Press the qr buttons or turn the  dial,
select [Protect], and press the m button.
Once set, will appear on the screen.
: Protecting Images
If you format the memory card (pp. 22 , 52) , protected images will also be
erased.
• Protected images cannot be erased with the camera’s erase function. To
erase an image, cancel protection first.
• You can also protect images using the following method. Press the
n button, select the 1 tab, select [Protect]. Press the m button to
select [Select] and press the
m button, then press the qr buttons to
select an image and press the m button.
