15.4 Operating the Appliance

15.4.1

Switching On

• Plug the power plug into a suitable outlet.

• The temperature of the cooker plate surface displayed: is the temperature of the

surface of the induction cooker lower than 50°C, the display shows „L“. When the
temperature of the cooker plate surface is over 50 °C, it is displaying „H“. An acoustic
signal sounds. Now the device is in standby mode.

• Place a suitable cooking pot with its contents on the centre on the hob (Ø 175 mm -

260 mm).

• Press the ON/Standby button once. When you have done that an acoustic signal

sounds.

Please note

► If no further input occurs within 30 seconds of the device switching on, the light in

the display is turned off and the device goes into stand-by mode. To restart the
device, press the ON/Standby button once more.

15.4.2

Power Mode

• You can select one of 10 power levels with the WATT function button. The level

selected with the arrow keys is shown in the display. The first 3 power levels are for
keeping food and liquids warm without cooking.

15.4.3

Temperature Mode

• The temperature function button (TEMP.) allows you to select the temperature level

which will then be shown in the display. The preset temperature level is 120°C. You
can set temperatures between 60°C and 240°C using the arrow buttons.

Please note

► In temperature mode the maximum temperature is limited to 240°C. Higher

temperatures trigger the overheat protection. You should use this mode for
roasting food when fat needs to be heated to a high temperature.

15.4.4

Timer

• You can set the different cooking times with the TIMER function button. After

pressing this button the display shows the digit 0. You can set the desired time (max.
180 minutes) in 1-minute intervals using the arrow buttons. When the set time has
elapsed an audible signal sounds and the device automatically switches to stand-by
mode.
