Printing Photographs from a Wireless

Communication Device

If you have a mobile phone or a PDA with an infrared port for wireless data
transmission, you can print photos through wireless connection with the printer. If
the optional Bluetooth unit BU-20 is connected to the printer, you can also print
photos through Bluetooth communication.

Setting the Page Size, Media Type, and Layout

When Printing from a Mobile Phone or a PDA

When printing from a mobile phone or PDA through Infrared communication or
Bluetooth communication, you can select the page size, media type, layout and
borderless printing on the Wireless print settings screen.
The default is borderless printing on 4" x 6" Photo Paper Plus Glossy.

Displaying the Wireless Print Settings Screen and
Specifying the Settings

Turn on the printer.

See “Turning On/Off the Printer” on page 6.

Display the Wireless print settings screen.

(1) Select Settings

on the HOME screen, then press the OK button.

(2) Select Device settings, then press the OK button.

(3) Select Wireless print settings, then press the OK button.

The Wireless print settings screen is displayed.

Confirm or change the settings.

(1) Select the item to set, then press the OK button.

(2) Change the setting, then press the OK button.

(3) After finishing all settings you need, select OK and then press the OK

button.
The photo in the mobile phone or PDA can be printed according to the
following settings.

Setting Items

(1) Select the page size for printing photos saved on a mobile phone or PDA.

(2) Select the media type for printing photos saved on a mobile phone or

PDA.

(3) Select Image optimizer ON to correct and smooth out the jagged

contours when printing.

(4) Select the layout of the photos as below.

Sticker print:
Stickers x 16
Printing on paper other than sticker:
Bordered x 1, x 2, x 4, x 8
Borderless x 1, x 2, x 4, x 8

Important

To perform printing correctly from a mobile phone or PDA through Infrared

communication, the following conditions should be satisfied.

– Compatible devices: A mobile phone or PDA with an IrDA port that supports image

data transmission through Infrared communication.

– Printable data: Images shot with a camera of the mobile phone or PDA.
