The 9-volt alkaline
batteries are low. 1. The battery backup, located on top of the
transformer, uses two 9-volt alkaline batteries.
2. Unplug the transformer from the wall outlet, and
disconnect from the connector behind the chair.
3. Remove the Phillips head screw from the battery
cover, and remove the cover. Gently remove the
connection caps from the batteries.
4. Place the connection caps over the terminals
of two new 9-volt alkaline batteries. Place the
batteries on the transformer.
5. Place the battery cover over the batteries, and
fasten the cover with the Phillips head screw.
6. Reconnect the transformer into the connector
behind the chair, and plug the transformer
directly into a wall outlet.
Batteries not installed
in the battery backup. 1. The battery backup, located on top of the
transformer, uses two 9-volt alkaline batteries.
2. Unplug the transformer from the wall outlet, and
disconnect from the connector behind the chair.
3. Remove the Phillips head screw from the battery
cover, and remove the cover.
4. Place the connection caps over the terminals
of two new 9-volt alkaline batteries. Place the
batteries on the transformer.
5. Place the battery cover over the batteries, and
fasten the cover with the Phillips head screw.
6. Reconnect the transformer into the connector
behind the chair, and plug the transformer directly
into a wall outlet.
• If an error code remains after the recommended solution has been completed, contact your
La-Z-Boy ® dealer for service.
• Contact your La-Z-Boy ® dealer for any error code not shown in the troubleshooting.
