Assorted fabric scraps
Foundation fabric or paper

Crazy-piece the scraps onto the foundation fabric or paper, starting from
the center and working outward.
Select desired decorative stitch and center the stitching over the seam lines.
Use rayon, metallic or other decorative threads.
