Removing the Battery Pack

If an AC outlet is not available, you can use the remaining
battery power for limited printing. Press

ON LINE

to continue

printing. Each time you press

ON LINE

, the printer will print

several lines until the battery pack is fully discharged.

Low battery error

When the battery pack becomes fully discharge, a low battery
error occurs. The

POWER

light starts to blink, the

ON LINE

light goes out, and the

ERROR

light goes on. In this case, you

must recharge the battery. If you are in the process of printing,
the only way to continue is to connect the AC adapter.

Recharge the battery as described in the previous section,
Charging a Battery Pack.

CAUTION: Recharge the battery pack only when it is fully
discharged. Charging the battery before it is fully discharged
reduces the battery capacity.

NOTE: Make sure you have completed your current print job as
removing the battery pack erases all data in the printer's memory.

Follow these steps to remove the battery pack:

1. Make sure the battery switch is turned off.
2. Lift the printer and rotate the printer stand.
3. Hold the printer securely, and remove the battery

compartment cover.
