This index file is in HTML format and can be accessed via a computer using the
web browser. The HTML file (NEXTOIDX.HTM) is stored in the root directory of the
NVS2501. To access a video file, simply connect the NVS2501 to a computer and
double-click on the NEXTOIDX.HTM file in the root directory.

The NVS2501 automatically generates HTML index files which contain metadata
and thumbnails of each video file.
This function can be turned on or off from the
main menu.
If a memory card with new data is inserted,
the NVS2501 asks you to begin copying.
This screen indicates that the NVS2501 is
copying the memory card data to the internal
hard drive.
After copying, the NVS2501 generates an
index file that displays thumbnails of the
video footage.
Backup and index generation has successfully
completed.
