User Operation

This chapter describes the hardware features and functions of the 9155.

3.1

9155 Functions, and Power-Up, and LEDs

During the initial power-up sequence, all LEDs light amber. When start-up is complete, the setup and
installation are correct, and data is transmitting normally across the link, the MGR LED lights green
and the LNK, Rx, or Tx LEDs for all active ports light green or blink green when they transmit or
receive data. See Tables 1 and 2.

The LEDs show the system and port conditions. The MGR LED shows the management conditions;
see Table 1. Each interface module includes from two to six LEDs; Table 2 lists all possible LEDs.
On the Multiple Port module, each LED pair includes LNK on the left, SPD on the right. For each
vertical pair of ports, LEDs for the odd-numbered port are on the left of the top connector and LEDs
for the even-numbered port are on the right. For details about the LEDs, see your interface module
and Tables 1 and 2.
