This document describes step-by-step procedures for the installation of both CanogaView EMS Core
Services and Report Server on your Windows or Sun Server. It also includes uninstall procedures for
these packages.
The following files will be used on the installation CD to install the system: (Windows) csem-core-
install-win32 and csem-rptsvr-install-win32 or (Solaris) csem-core-install-solaris and csem-
rptsvr-install-solaris.
• csem-core-install installs the CanogaView EMS Core and includes both the Java Runtime
Environment (JRE) and Java Development Kit (JDK). If you already have these Java packages
on your system, you may be able to use them provided they are the proper versions. For the
Java Runtime Environment package, version 5 (1.5.x) or greater is required. For the Java
Development Kit, version 6 (1.6.x) or greater is required.
• csem-rptsvr-install installs the CanogaView 2.0 Report Server.
CanogaView EMS Core must be installed before the Report
Server.
Do not attempt to install CanogaView EMS over a previous
CanogaView EMS installation.
• To reinstall CanogaView EMS Core, first uninstall Report
Server then CanogaView EMS Core. Next, reinstall the
Core followed by the Report Server.
• To reinstall just the Report Server, uninstall and then
reinstall it.
