INSTALLING CANOGAVIEW EMS

INTRODUCTION

CanogaView EMS

CanogaView EMS denotes a web-based, comprehensive Element Management System used to monitor
and provision Canoga Perkins’ managed devices. CanogaView EMS is a structure of products designed
to provide the upmost standards for managing these devices. Developed using open source technology,
managing services include a core component followed by the installation of additional, optional
applications. These optional application packages are dependent on the common set of services
provided by the core.

Based on the server-side, client-side paradigm, the CanogaView EMS server is responsible for deploying
CanogaView’s applications for use by the client, which is any web browser with Ethernet accessibility to
the CanogaView EMS server.

The separate device packages are available according to the customer’s needs in terms of the Canoga
Perkins’ devices deployed in their networks. Each device package is independent of any other device
package and can be installed or removed at any time.

CanogaView EMS requires the installation of its core services prior to the installation of any optional
packages. Optional packages may be installed as required afterwards. Each optional package follows a
very similar installation and uninstall procedure.
